Bath time or Dinner time?

Laney shows off her new skills of pulling herself up in the sink.  She can't leave her fishy behind, and since her hands are occupied the mouth is the most logical place.

Indy and Laney get into a fight.. then make up

Laney is on the move and Indy is still learning how to cope.  With his hurt leg he has been even more nervous around Laney.  However, he still loves her and does not like to hear her cry - especially when he is the cause of it.

Ryan uses Laney as a prop!

Indy has long been the subject of Ryan's orchestrations.  He is happy to pass the privilege to Laney for a while.

Hold it right there ma'am!

Laney in a bread basket! Don't worry Grandpa she is Holsum Bread!

Laney laying in the drink cupboard!

Laney in Indy's cone of shame

Laney is the best thing that cake stand has had sitting on it!

Maybe instead of a bath?

Good Morning!

This is what we get to wake up to every morning! Love that smiling face!

Yum!

Yes that is a puff stuck on the side of her face.  When I took it off she looked at me as if she was thinking "Hey! I was saving that for later!"  Aunt Laurie if you don't like the bib get her a green one and it will get equal usage.

Laney and Uncle JT

This weekend we went up to Ann Arbor to go out to lunch with JT and hit up Babies R Us for a 9 month picture outfit.  We picked JT and his friend James at their apartment.  I don't know if Laney was tired or if it is stranger danger but she started bawling and was inconsolable until we pulled over and I switched seats with James. After that we had a delicious meal at five guys.

DVD's and Xbox

Laney plays with her dad's toys.  Also look at her pull herself up!  Scary!

Whose ball is it?

Possibly one of the cutest videos ever taken.  Laney is playing with a mini tennis ball while Indy looks on..

Where is daddy?

Ryan was outside grilling.  When he tried to come back in a certain baby was holding the door closed.  I think she was telling him to get back to work making dinner!  Those veggies won't grill themselves!  Even with Indy playing video interference this is a pretty cute video.

Car ride home from Holland

It really looks like she is driving in this picture.  I swear we did not follow the advice of Brittney

Working on pulling herself up

Trying to reach Dexter's present.

Which is more exciting the bag or the steering wheel?

Looks like it was the steering wheel.
On the ride home from Holland we stopped by Grand Rapids to say hi to Ryan's cousin and the newest addition to their family Dexter.  We were running a little ahead of schedule so we played around in the parking lot of Panera Bread.  The adorable headband that Laney is wearing was made by my mom while we were vacationing.

Holland Vacation 6/23-6/30

Laney Enjoying Lake Michigan. She was not a big fan of sand.

Laney's First Lake Michigan Sunset.  It was a little past her bed time but she did fine.

Laney and Dad dancing to some sweet music made by the street performers at the Holland Farmers Market.

Laney and dad at Lake Macatowa

She was happy a long as she was not in the water herself.

Laney telling Dad about her cool shovel.

This year we rented a house in Holland, MI with Jamie's family.  Laney enjoyed taking bike rides, staying up late, and getting spoiled by all of the attention.  The rest of us had a hard time sleeping because Miss Laney decided it would be a good time to start working on getting her top teeth.  Needless to say we did not get a ton of sleep during the week.

Holland Vacation Home!

Laney having a great time exploring her new surroundings and playing with her dad.

Laney hanging out in the sunroom.  She did not like to crawl over the threshold to the hardwood floor.

And we have a Crawling Baby!!!

After many days of crawling backwards Laney has now mastered the art of going forward.  It is time for us to start baby proofing the house..

Almost Crawling 6/14/12

Laney still has not mastered crawling but she has pushups down!

Laney Has Many Moods

Laney Happily playing on the floor.  Chewing everything she can get her hands on.

Laney doing the pre-crawl rocking motion.  She is a little frustrated with her lack of progress.  Might want to turn volume down before viewing this video.

Laney Loves flipflops and phones

Laney having some fun on the floor.

Laney grabs her dads phone and takes her own movie.

Cameron's Birthday Party 6/2/12

Laney got invited to a birthday party of a little boy who is in Carey's classroom.  It was a very exciting party complete with a petting zoo.  Laney had a good time "petting" the bunny.

Laney Eats Dad's Belt

Not really much else I can do to describe this one.

Swing Time 6/1/12

Yes it is freezing!  This is Laney's 2nd time on a swing as you can see she really enjoys it.

Bath Time! 5/22/12

We finally got smart and starting bathing Laney in the utility sink.  She has a good time and it does not hurt our backs as much!

St. Joe's Community Day 5/19

Laney Holding a stick with bird feed on it.

Birds kept landing on Laney
We went to St. Joe's Community Day where I got to ride a camel with Laney.  It was all her idea I swear.  I will add some better pictures of Laney in the bird experience when I get them from Aunt Carey.  Surprisingly she did not cry until they were almost out.  She even managed to lick a bird - much to my dismay.

We have been very bad and Happy 4th

Well it has been Exactly 2 months since our last post.  Time to jump back in the saddle and get this blog updated and active again.  We have lots of news, pictures, and movies to share with everyone about our little Laney.

Today we went to Laney's First Parade!  It was so hot out.  At 10AM it was already almost 90 degrees. That did not stop us from enjoying the parade.  I was worried that Laney would not like the sirens but from the moment they started she was mesmerized.  She even waved her way through most of the parade.
Laney and Grandpa watching the parade!

Laney Crawling on the cement bench
Laney is sad we would not let her crawl anymore.  Grandma feels her pain.
